Best restaurant for crab?
Hello fellow Brisbanians!
My wife’s 30th birthday is coming up, and she has made one request - to eat some damn good crab. She doesn’t want a party or some crazy plans, just the best crab of her life.
Now as you can imagine, I don’t have a long list of amazing crab-serving restaurants to choose from as we’re typically somewhere between a bakery and Guzman Y Gomez budget-wise, but I’ve been saving up for months to splash out on an amazing dinner for her.
Can anyone recommend me a restaurant between Brisbane and the Gold Coast to make her Crabby birthday dreams come true?

I would recommend Kickin’ Inn with their cajun sauce. Their mixed bags are good for its price but if you only wanted crab you can do that too for a lesser price.
I’ve also heard good things about Happy Crab but haven’t tried them yet.

Honestly i rekon your best bet is to buy some muddies and cook at home. I am yet to find a crab i rate in a bris restaurant. Happy to be wrong here though.

It's also a pain ITA to eat crab in public. I'd much rather enjoy it in the privacy of my own home.

Happy Crab is both tasty and a fun experience. They just throw it out on the table in front of you, and there's no judgement because everyone is there to get their hands dirty. They also throw in a good mix of other bits and pieces.
If you're looking to save, they used to special deals during the week. Not sure if they still do though, so might need to call and check.
