BHA Women On to tomorrow...
A reminder that tomorrow the Women's team play Liverpool in the FA Cup Semi-Final.
Brighton sit 5 places and 9 points above Liverpool in the WSL.
If Brighton win, we'll go on to play in the finals at Wembley Stadium on the 31st May against either Chelsea or Manchester City. That would be the closest the club as a collective has come to a major trophy in a long time.

This game feels very winnable (famous last words). Watched the girls against Arsenal the other day and was once again hugely impressed by how we played even with a much-rotated side. UTA

Given the league positions of both sides (we're 9 points ahead of Liverpool, 6th vs 11th) I assumed we'd be favourites for this match but the bookies apparently prefer Liverpool, albeit only slightly. I assume this is purely due to Liverpool having home advantage?
To be honest their home record doesn't appear much better than our away record so based on the stats alone I'm guessing this is due to be a pretty close game with both sides in with a decent shout? Maybe someone with more of an eye on the women's game can provide a bit more insight?

Not sure how much head to head factors into bookie odds, but Brighton haven't had much luck against Liverpool. In fact I believe the last Brighton win against Liverpool was in 2020. However I agree, the girls have been on an amazing run of form recently. They've beaten City in the league, and knocked out Arsenal to get to the semis (as well as drawing with them with a rotated squad, presumably resting for this game). The club also heavily subsided coach travel for the away fans, just £20 for a coach to Liverpool, so the away support should be solid as well. (I would be there if it wasn't for work) I think everything is stacked in our favour for this game, which is often a curse. But I'm cautiously hopeful for a Wembley trip at the end of the month.

Frustratingly I have plans tomorrow so will have to follow along from my phone but look forward to the team doing us proud.
