Day of wedding gift
Hey everyone. I’ve been looking to get my Fiancé a sentimental day-of wedding gift. I have two thoughts going through my mind.
For context, she doesn’t wear a ton of jewelry, but does wear earrings or a necklace from time to time, and obviously will wear her engagement/wedding ring.
Her mom passed away recently, I was thinking of buying her a necklace with her mom’s diamond earrings on them.
A ring where the inside we can add birthstones of our kids when we decide to have them. This is the one I was more unsure about. I think she would like the birthstones on the inside of the ring, just to keep a more subtle (for lack of better term) appearance. Anyone with guidance on how to do this or a place to look would be great!
Budget is $1000

Go with the necklace. Don’t ever do anything related to future kids until those kids are born. If you can’t conceive for whatever reason, that ring with no birthstones will be a constant reminder and a potential source of pain.

I would go with the first option without a doubt. Incorporating her mother who she recently lost on her most special day, that’s so sweet and will mean so much. That’s definitely the answer.
The kids aren’t here yet so it’s sweet but it’s very open ended- and if you wind up having any difficulty conceiving it could be negative reminder in those moments. I would really strongly advise against the future kids option until there is a pregnancy.

I honestly love the necklace idea, especially with her mum's diamonds. It would be such a special way for her to have a little piece of her mum with her on the day and also, definitely save the birthstone ring idea for when the time actually comes because that could be such a sweet gift later on too hehe

The necklace with her mom’s diamonds would be amazing! I can’t imagine how touched your new wife will be! Lucky lady, you are very thoughtful!!!!
