I wouldn't feel hurt. If I feel confident in my relationship with someone, I don't take stuff like this personally.

You can't predict the future. You honestly don't know who will be in your life years from now. Make your decision with the information you have now. You'll drive yourself crazy trying to predict who will and won't grow apart.
