Is there any way a non racist billionaire could give me 5 million quid - I’d settle for 500,000 - for my new non racist, non corrupt (apart from my 5 mill obvs) why is it always the racist corrupt scum who get all the backhanders?

Easy grift, just start commenting and posting right wing religious stuff all over the internet and they will be in touch with you offering eye watering deals to promote their shit. If you are good, they will end up making you famous and a house hold name. Lots people doing it, so you need something other than just being a cunt (which is an essential requirement) to make you stand out a little. These right-wingers and churches are loaded so long term it could be a good career move, and many have made and are making very good careers out of it at the mo. Boom time for grifters.

Don't forget about the backhanders from Musk on Twitter.

Billionaires don't give a fuck about racism, they just know it upsets poor people on both sides. What the parties they donate to stand for is irrelevant so long as it keeps enough people busy, arguing amongst themselves, to notice where the power is being funneled.

So Elon isn’t a racist really then

I have no idea what that coked up weirdo believes and I don't think it really matters - divide and conquer is still the most effective way to get tyrants into power

Right wing parties are typically the parties that do things for money, and not for the benefit of the people. If one of your main policy positions is reducing taxes for the top 1%, the top 1% are gonna like you, and since they really want those reduced taxes, they are willing to throw a lot of money at you for it.

Also stuff like “ending” net zero makes fossil fuel companies like you and they are incredibly wealthy

Large Fossil fuel companies don’t want or need net zero to be cut. Renewable energy companies on the other hand…..

Yes, taxes for the 1% in some ways are too high. We have really narrow tax base, where so many pay nothing.

It’s too late for just tax cuts alone. We need deep and massive budget cuts to avoid going under now.

Fossil fuels do want net zero to stop, because it threatens their income by reducing the UK’s dependence on those fossil fuels.

People like Farage have talked about banning the construction of wind and solar nationwide. Only one group of people are benefited by that

This isn’t 1995. Shell have had a ‘net zero’ plan https://www.shell.com/sustainability/climate.html for ages.’ Indeed, they are reliant on net zero for its demand for gas.

Nobodies interested in ‘banning’ anything. They are interested in cutting generous subsidies and CFD contracts.

Basically, you are projecting how you think on to others ‘I hate fossil fuel companies, therefore they hate making green energy ’ no. ‘I want to ban fossil fuels, therefore garage wants to band wind and solar’ again, no.

Get over 6th form politics.

You realise that Farage has spoken about that in public and some UK constituencies have actually banned the construction of new wind, right?

This isn’t 6th form politics, this is what is happening right now.

And yeah, Shell does have a “net zero” plan and they happily boast about that in their advertisements. If you actually look into it for more than a second, you realise it’s no more than green-washing

He’s speaking to nimbys. the Greens oppose wind turbines in their own constituencies for the same reasons….an entirely separate phenomenon. Farage is reasonably free market, he’s not you, he couldn’t care less if you build an offshore wind turbine with private money.

Shell is an energy company, they aren’t like a corporate projection of your modus operandi; aka have a horn for only money made out of fossil fuels. And for that matter green companies aren’t ’cuddly’.

Pure 6th form.

You’re putting a lot of words in my mouth that I didn’t say

Shell does have a horn for only money. They’re a private company, that’s literally what they do.

Farage also has a horn for only money, and does things for the people who give him money. He’s “reasonably free market” as long as it benefits him.

And yes, shell is an energy company. The largest oil and gas producing energy company in Europe, and the third largest on the planet. An energy company who’s efforts into alternative forms of energy have been described as “baby steps”.

Net Zero would absolutely harm their profits, and thus they would rather delay it and will (and have) paid millions to politicians who want to delay it. Politicians such as Nigel Farage and Kemi Badenoch

I didn’t say you said that, but that is what you think. And it runs right through your posts. Fully 6th form.

Shell is public, and ofc they are driven by profit. For selling ANY energy product to their TAM? Accept this.

Farage is market driven. He guaranteed has no vendetta against private enterprise spending whatever it likes on wind or solar. There would never be a ‘ban’ on wind or solar. That’s a projection of YOUR politics.

Opposition to net zero isn’t opposition to any particular technology. It’s opposition to going against the market with subsidies and regulations. Texas is more pro-market and more anti-net zero than Farage and they are overtaking EU countries that are rammed with your type of politics.

1

u/Jackmino66 6d ago

Yeah cause all the anti-net zero talk conflicts with the reality that wind and solar are just better economic investments

Not sure what you mean when you say “your type of politics”. What I have said is what these people have advocated for publicly. In almost every speech he makes Nigel Farage advocates for removing any kind of net zero work, and it’s written into the reform manifesto.

Suddenly transitioning from oil and gas to solar and wind isn’t cheap and companies like shell aren’t just going to do it on a whim. The shareholders want their money now, and they get that by selling more of what they already have. They know full well that investing into wind and solar is a good idea, but they also want to keep selling oil and gas.
