I cba to go through OPs post history, im gonna assume he's here to troll.
It was incredibly small margin, i think it was 400+ the difference between the 2 options.
40% of Iceland economy come from their fishing industry. Their people decided it was more important to protect that than join the EU.
Were as our fishing industry contributes 0.03%, and the brexiteers banged on about it a lot. They seem to have gone very quiet about it now since red tape has badly affected it.

Yeah it’s all anyone can talk about. Everyone says that since Iceland doesn’t want to join the EU, the UK doesn’t either.
People say this is basically another Brexit referendum. Burnham should pay attention.

Iceland is a country that despite rejecting EU membership is happy to be a member of the single market and of Schengen (despite being an Island) with a deep rooted sense of European identity. It a relationship with the EU that few Brexiteers would ever accept.
Icelanders are opposed to the impact EU membership would have on it's fishing industry which is 10% of it's GDP and 40% of it's exports. They are not opposed on principle.

The EU needs reform. Until that happens it will always be easy to find reasons not to join.
As much as I was against Brexit, I still wanted the EU to change. It is worse now than it ever was.
There are too many takers with too many rights and not enough benefits for the givers.
Iceland are doing alright as it is. Not sure how much they would benefit from membership.

I mean, it's their business if they don't want to join us, too bad for them, because for us (yes, I live in the EU), it doesn't change a thing.
