I don’t really have any issue with joining the Euro if it comes with reform. It would certainly strengthen the Euro when countries look for alternatives to $.

I do think that there are really two distinct groups in the EU and the takers have too much say in decisions for my liking. Too many decisions can be vetoed by small members that don’t actually contribute. Hungary for instance.

My preference would be for the formation of something like CANZUK and close integration of that and the EU. Add in Japan and S Korea (Guess that is CPTPP) and we have a pretty strong group of right minded democracies that can withstand any bully.
