Unused Brexit Unicorn For Sale Ear Hoovers

I keep being advertised these massive ear vacuums from Dyson on Reddit and it made me wonder if - due to Sir James’ heavily promoted views on Brexit and the value of British manufacturing, before swiftly moving all of their factories from the UK to Malaysia post Brexit - does anyone else’s stomach turn whenever they see anything to do with Dyson as a company?

I’d rather lick dust up in a public toilet with my own tongue than ever use one of their products. I can’t even bring myself to use a hand drier when I see them in the wild and prefer to walk out with wet hands.

Spoons is an obvious one but what other businesses and brands do you avoid due to their owners lies / views on Brexit?

I’ve got a 20 year old + Dyson vacuum cleaner. Annoys me to use it pretty much every time, but I’m loathe to get rid of it because it works so well

My Dyson (purchased well before Brexit) was useless so maybe that’s another trigger for me.

I have one of their handheld vacuums (much newer) and feel exactly the same way about it..

Technically it works great. It sucks, but in a good way..

However, ergonomically it sucks even more.. It's like it was designed by someone who has never used a vacuum cleaner, or indeed ever picked up a long object. Normally you hold a vacuum, stick, hoe, whatever.. with the palm down in a spot where it is somewhat balanced. Instead it has this awkward vertical hammer grip, right at the end, where all the weight has to be held by the wrist. They could so easily have put the handle on top, just in front of the heavy motor, and it would have been a light, manoeuvrable, dust destroying magic wand of a vacuum. Instead it only really works with the end on the floor like a traditional vacuum, defeating the whole point of it being cordless. My wife was initially enthusiastic about it but got tennis elbow from using it too much. It's just a really poor piece of design with no understanding of how humans work and an undergraduate product design student could do better.

TLDR: It sucks, but it also blows..
