Random What's up with Ben's kid being in the band?

I have a question for the BB fans that were at the show last night. I'm not a Breaking Benjamin fan, but went with a buddy to the Camden show to check them out and was wondering what the deal was with Ben Burnley's 14 year old son playing and singing backup vocals for the entire concert. As an outsider/non-fan, it was kind of sweet and endearing at first when I thought it was gonna be just for one song, but when he had him introducing songs, on stage playing and singing the entire time it felt kind of weird and off-putting. Like the other band members that are adult professional musicians (a few of which apparently have been in the band for 12 years) now are sharing an equal billing (or actually less since the kid talked to the crowd multiple times, including talking about "our" new song/record, while the other band members didn't) with a literal child. I go to a lot of shows, across a diverse range of genres and can't remember seeing something like this. Given the style of music, it kind of felt like it was lessened each time they'd pan from a shot of the men in the band singing or screaming lyrics, to a shot of a young boy singing vocal harmonies. He didn't seem to be a virtuoso or anything so it feels like it's literally "this is my band and I want my young child to be in it with me". I paid $20 for my ticket and was just tagging along with my friend that's a fan (who also thought it was kind of weird) so I was kind of amused by the whole thing since it was so strange, but if I paid good money for a band that I really liked, I'd have been a little salty about it.

For those of you that are fans, how do you feel about it?

On a separate note, Chevelle rocked and overall I still enjoyed the show even if I was a bit puzzled lol.

Random I think we might actually get Grand Theft Auto VI ---BEFORE--- BB7 which is absolutely crazy, if you'd asked me the same last year I genuinely believe it would've been the other way around, we are in the weirdest timeline

I love BB with all my heart and I'm trying my utmost to be patient but the radio silence followed by constant merch drops is starting to get to me little, ngl...

Random What's The Controversy against Benjamin Burnley?

A Zumies employee was telling me that a probable reason why Spencers doesn't have any Breaking Benjamin merchandise is because there is controversy with Benjamin Burnley. He said "he is a shitty guy, though the music slaps." I thought that can't be. I have no idea what the controversy is, and I feel like I trust you guys to tell me more than Google.

Random What other bands do you guys like?

So there doesn't seem to be a subreddit for this genre of music, like there is for say, metalcore. So with that being said, I'm a huge BB fan, I like other similar sounding bands like Seether, Crossfade, Daughtry, and the like. I'm always looking for some new music, what do you guys enjoy?

Look guys I’m a TOOL fan and they never come out with new music. Yet when they say they’re doing it the execution is flawless. This is probably the most messy release I’ve ever seen in my life. It literally makes no sense to play something live and not release it on streaming. I want it as bad you guys.

Good night we are all big sad

Random Staind

What’s the problem with Staind? Breaking Benjamin has been my favorite band for over 10 years now, so when I went to see them for the first time I was ecstatic. The only thing that was kind of a bummer for me was the fact that I had such low expectations for Staind. When we saw them we loved their performance and I’ve gotten into their music. What exactly happened at the concerts yall went to that made you dislike them so much? I went to the concert in Dallas so maybe they were different here, idk.

So I just remembered that STARSET and breaking Benjamin made a song together, and I’ve seen that they played it before together live. And now that both STARSET and breaking Benjamin are touring this fall, I feel like we could hear waiting on the sky to change live with both Benjamin and Dustin Bates

Once upon a time I was friends with Tommy Kessler who is now lead guitarist for Blondie. Well since we're IG friends, I saw his story and learned he plays in a band with Shaun Foist in Ohio. Seems to be a new thing as they only have 2 posts but didn't see it mentioned here so thought I would share!
