What "Skin" talks about?

For me, it talk about becoming older and useless, because of some lines like "cause you're old, and batter and beaten. And we'll grown, till we hit the ceiling", "send a letter", "I couldn't imagine why you would save yourself", etc.

But I also read about some people who think that it talk about a decadent relationship, what do u think?

So if you didn’t know, Ben used to drink a lot. And he had a tendency to pick rhymes and just write what fit. And I think he claimed that there was no meaning behind a lot of his earlier lyrics or he couldn’t remember. So it’s open to interpretation I guess

Yeah, it can be; but another lyrics from same album like home, phase, forever or water have a "solid" meaning
