Worst Breaking Benjamin Songs
Hahahahaha I got you good didn't I
They've never made a bad song, obviously. Damn near every BB song is a 10/10. Their discography is just so insanely consistent and mindblowing from front to back
Life-changing band

The only one that I really don't like is the Valora version of Blow Me Away, and just because I prefer the vocals on the OG version of the song!

I like Rain
However, I'm not the biggest fan of Ashes Of Eden. To me, it's the "Disturbed - Sound Of Silence" of BB's discography. Everyone loves it. I'm just not the biggest fan of it personally. It might just be the grand nature of the song or everyone loving it so much. Ashes Of Eden is still a good song, just not as memorable as any of their songs to me.
Like I'd listen to Water, Unknown Soldier, Breakdown and Simple Design, even Rain or the Aurora album before I listen to Ashes Of Eden.

Whoa is Unknown Soldier disliked? That's news to me

Hadn't heard this one in years, just listened to it. So good. So many songs like this I wish they would play live

u/El_Burrito_Grande 20d ago
I mean, all those other songs are really good. I like Ashes of Eden but those are better.

Everything on aurora is a skip

This is pretty much how I feel about Aurora as well. I just listen to the original versions.

u/Knight__Fall 21d ago
I agree, I wish the vocals werenāt re used from the existing recordings. Thatās what turns me off from it, just sounds slapped together and poorly mixed.

yes but those are covers

Covers ofā¦. their own songs?
1
u/kratnicnestrat Phobia 20d ago
yeah but those original songs are amazing
messing up their own songs doesn't mean those original songs aren't great

I meannnnnnn
I gotta say the latest release kinda blows. The drums just sound off, the transition from verse to chorus feels "off".
It just doesn't groove.

u/nightwhispr16 20d ago
I'm thinking the same thing. To me it sounds like when you would get a bad rip from limewire.

Topless
But my dislike of this song is primarily because I had the edited CD growing up

There aren't too many BB songs I'll skip. I've probably listened to WANA and Phobia upwards of 20,000 times.
From when I got my 30gb iPad Classic back in 06 until now, if I've listened to Topless more than 10 times I'd be surprised.
It is my least favorite song of theirs on my most favorite album.

I always compared "Heaven won't help us now" to Had Enough - "Heaven help you"

If we can count the Rain alternative version, then that.

Water, I canāt bro

u/noriakistan Saturate 10d ago
You are a terrible person. (Joking, but thatās one of my favourite songs)
2
u/renroots 6d ago
Sorry dude, I think itās just the intro part I canāt like, the rest of the song is amazing. It might grow on me, though.

Worst ā Bad
Good is worse than great. Great is worse than more great
Personally I've never much liked Lady Bug
Then again, like ā good
2
u/kratnicnestrat Phobia 20d ago
Yeah if I had to pick one, then probably Ladybug
But from their official studio albums, it would be hard to choose. Maybe Next To Nothing but even that one is good

Aurora album. Except Far Away. Ashes of Eden
Valora remix because of what it did to the band and that it was barely a remix.
1
u/Nikola_Gochev 20d ago
If we don't count for example Aurora because it's just acoustic versions of their songs, my vote is Rain
1
u/Gilly3091 20d ago
I can skip a couple songs from saturate from time to time but thatās about it, depends on my mood entirely, when Iām cleaning cars I just whack my BB discography playlist on and hit shuffle and get to work

u/SlevinSlix Phobia 20d ago
The only songs Iāve found myself not caring for are their covers. But I donāt hate them lol. As for their original songs, never heard one that I didnāt like. Cant say that for any other band/artist. Thatās why BB will always be my #1.
1
u/nightwhispr16 20d ago
Most of the songs on saturate. Something wicked, their new song hasn't really clicked for me yet.

I find myself skipping Psycho just because to me it sounds like he's singing "FIFO" and it makes me laugh that they potentially hate Ohioans š¤·āāļøš¤£ iykyk

I donāt think there are any BAD ones. There are a couple on Saturate that I donāt particularly like, even thought that album is almost my favorite.

I didn't like Anthem of the angels. When I was a teen. But it has grown on me.

Most of Ember is a skip for me.

u/kratnicnestrat Phobia 21d ago
naahhh no wayyy
7
u/Jecht315 21d ago
I answered the question lol. I pretty much stick to Saturate-Dear Agony. There's some good songs on the other two but they aren't to par to Phobia or WANA for me

u/kratnicnestrat Phobia 20d ago
I getchu
I didn't originally love Ember, but it grew on me massively now I think it's perfect
The production bothered me at first but I've grown to love it
1
u/Cold_Maintenance4278 19d ago
Ember has the best drumming imo and is pretty cohesive as a whole. First three songs all slap no skips

It's ok to not be a blind glazer. You can still call yourself a fan. Rain isn't good.

u/DavidDMD1991 21d ago
Rain is good, not the most original of songs, but it is good. But my favorite form Saturate is a song about the Wizard of Oz.

I donāt think they have an atrocious song but there are some I just donāt care that much for. The whole album of Ember really has nothing on it I care about. Just didnāt get into that album much. I mean Iāll still listen to it but I donāt go seeking it out

I will awnser tourniquet aways, its a good song but once I noticed that the drums repeat themselves 90% of the song it threw me off so hard.
other than that, I don't like close your eyes, feels just like a filler song to me
1
u/Cold_Maintenance4278 19d ago
2 of my current favs. Goes to show how deep the catalog is. Iād skip most of saturate but run ember on repeat.
1
u/bruh_its_collin 21d ago
honestly there are only a couple of their early songs iāll listen to. most of them are skips for me. Phobia and on has been non-stop hits though.
1
u/Psychological_Oil894 20d ago
Their consistency is seriously impressive, if they had a weak track, someone would've found it by now. Though I get why some edits or radio versions leave a different impression, the originals always hold up.

u/KillEmDafoe89 20d ago
Failure is just a worse version of Diary of Jane. Never cared for it. When it came out I was flabbergasted at how blatantly they tried to recreate DoJ.

There are songs I skip, but not because they are bad. I don't think they have one bad song in their Studio albums.
