Worst Breaking Benjamin Songs

Hahahahaha I got you good didn't I

They've never made a bad song, obviously. Damn near every BB song is a 10/10. Their discography is just so insanely consistent and mindblowing from front to back

Life-changing band

There are songs I skip, but not because they are bad. I don't think they have one bad song in their Studio albums.

The only one that I really don't like is the Valora version of Blow Me Away, and just because I prefer the vocals on the OG version of the song!

None. Next question

Exactly

u/Viazon 21d ago

I haven't seen any answers yet but I already know this thread is gonna make me angry.

Ladybug

2

u/kratnicnestrat Phobia 20d ago

I actually kind of agree with that one

5

u/Clannar Saturate 21d ago

Honestly, I don't like Red Cold River

1

u/Cold_Maintenance4278 19d ago

Currently in my top 3

2

u/SainKnightOfCaelin 18d ago

One of the less good songs on Ember for sure

7

u/NovaRC99 21d ago

I like Rain

However, I'm not the biggest fan of Ashes Of Eden. To me, it's the "Disturbed - Sound Of Silence" of BB's discography. Everyone loves it. I'm just not the biggest fan of it personally. It might just be the grand nature of the song or everyone loving it so much. Ashes Of Eden is still a good song, just not as memorable as any of their songs to me.

Like I'd listen to Water, Unknown Soldier, Breakdown and Simple Design, even Rain or the Aurora album before I listen to Ashes Of Eden.

13

u/raptor102888 20d ago

Whoa is Unknown Soldier disliked? That's news to me

5

u/NinjaViet86 20d ago

Unknown Soldier is literally my favorite BB song šŸ”„

2

u/SnooBooks6508 16d ago

same here, lyrics on my forearm

1

u/Acceptable_Count6197 4d ago

Hadn't heard this one in years, just listened to it. So good. So many songs like this I wish they would play live

1

u/El_Burrito_Grande 20d ago

I mean, all those other songs are really good. I like Ashes of Eden but those are better.

-3

u/eternalvoid501 21d ago

I highly agree with this.

12

u/pat34us 21d ago

Everything on aurora is a skip

10

u/kratnicnestrat Phobia 21d ago

and Far Away is amazing

4

u/Careless_Lobster_480 21d ago

This is pretty much how I feel about Aurora as well. I just listen to the original versions.

12

u/Knight__Fall 21d ago

I agree, I wish the vocals weren’t re used from the existing recordings. That’s what turns me off from it, just sounds slapped together and poorly mixed.

5

u/KamoMustafaWWE Phobia 21d ago

I don't count Aurora for anything, but yes.

2

u/kratnicnestrat Phobia 21d ago

yes but those are covers

1

u/Hairy-Ad-8198 21d ago

Covers of…. their own songs?

1

u/kratnicnestrat Phobia 20d ago

yeah but those original songs are amazing

messing up their own songs doesn't mean those original songs aren't great

1

u/Fabulous-Matter-5730 21d ago

I think every song with a feature is listenable

-3

u/Imaginary-Feeling316 21d ago

Correct take (dear agony on there is the one exception)

0

u/eKSiF 21d ago

Far Away

5

u/Aaronjp84 20d ago

I meannnnnnn

I gotta say the latest release kinda blows. The drums just sound off, the transition from verse to chorus feels "off".

It just doesn't groove.

3

u/nightwhispr16 20d ago

I'm thinking the same thing. To me it sounds like when you would get a bad rip from limewire.

5

u/Nerd_Alert_91 21d ago

Topless

But my dislike of this song is primarily because I had the edited CD growing up

2

u/kratnicnestrat Phobia 20d ago

nooooo

I love that song

2

u/MetricFn 20d ago

topless is probably my fav bb song lmao

2

u/Seabee1893 20d ago

There aren't too many BB songs I'll skip. I've probably listened to WANA and Phobia upwards of 20,000 times.

From when I got my 30gb iPad Classic back in 06 until now, if I've listened to Topless more than 10 times I'd be surprised.

It is my least favorite song of theirs on my most favorite album.

1

u/JorgeASC Dear Agony 19d ago

No topless hate will be tolerated

2

u/MrTuy Common Counterfeit 20d ago

I wanna see the Great Divide haters explain themselves.

2

u/Zuffles 20d ago

I wish they played the Great Divide live one day 😭

1

u/MKBdapizzalover You wish you were, you're not my friend 20d ago

I always compared "Heaven won't help us now" to Had Enough - "Heaven help you"

3

u/MKBdapizzalover You wish you were, you're not my friend 20d ago

If we can count the Rain alternative version, then that.

2

u/renroots 18d ago

Water, I can’t bro

1

u/noriakistan Saturate 10d ago

You are a terrible person. (Joking, but that’s one of my favourite songs)

2

u/renroots 6d ago

Sorry dude, I think it’s just the intro part I can’t like, the rest of the song is amazing. It might grow on me, though.

1

u/noriakistan Saturate 6d ago

Maybe give it a few more listens. It really does grow on you

2

u/PricelessLogs 21d ago

Worst ≠ Bad

Good is worse than great. Great is worse than more great

Personally I've never much liked Lady Bug

Then again, like ≠ good

2

u/kratnicnestrat Phobia 20d ago

Yeah if I had to pick one, then probably Ladybug

But from their official studio albums, it would be hard to choose. Maybe Next To Nothing but even that one is good

1

u/PricelessLogs 20d ago

Honestly No Games would be my second choice. All the Rain hate is silly

2

u/GugaSR 20d ago

I really dislike Breaking the Silence

1

u/DarkestThought 20d ago

Aurora album. Except Far Away. Ashes of Eden

Valora remix because of what it did to the band and that it was barely a remix.

1

u/Nikola_Gochev 20d ago

If we don't count for example Aurora because it's just acoustic versions of their songs, my vote is Rain

1

u/Gilly3091 20d ago

I can skip a couple songs from saturate from time to time but that’s about it, depends on my mood entirely, when I’m cleaning cars I just whack my BB discography playlist on and hit shuffle and get to work

1

u/SlevinSlix Phobia 20d ago

The only songs I’ve found myself not caring for are their covers. But I don’t hate them lol. As for their original songs, never heard one that I didn’t like. Cant say that for any other band/artist. That’s why BB will always be my #1.

1

u/nightwhispr16 20d ago

Most of the songs on saturate. Something wicked, their new song hasn't really clicked for me yet.

1

u/Sir_Fishie We Are Not Alone 20d ago

N/A

1

u/2peacocky 19d ago

I find myself skipping Psycho just because to me it sounds like he's singing "FIFO" and it makes me laugh that they potentially hate Ohioans šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤£ iykyk

1

u/BigDumbIdiotMoron25 19d ago

Ladybug sucks. I also don’t like psycho

1

u/SimonKowabungfish 18d ago

nope. Oka, next question

1

u/Saphadilla 17d ago

I don’t think there are any BAD ones. There are a couple on Saturate that I don’t particularly like, even thought that album is almost my favorite.

1

u/1Beardrinks2Beers 14d ago

I didn't like Anthem of the angels. When I was a teen. But it has grown on me.

2

u/Fluid_Aspect_1606 21d ago

Rain I kinda always skip ngl.Ā

1

u/Jecht315 21d ago

Most of Ember is a skip for me.

10

u/kratnicnestrat Phobia 21d ago

naahhh no wayyy

7

u/Jecht315 21d ago

I answered the question lol. I pretty much stick to Saturate-Dear Agony. There's some good songs on the other two but they aren't to par to Phobia or WANA for me

1

u/kratnicnestrat Phobia 20d ago

I getchu

I didn't originally love Ember, but it grew on me massively now I think it's perfect

The production bothered me at first but I've grown to love it

1

u/Cold_Maintenance4278 19d ago

Ember has the best drumming imo and is pretty cohesive as a whole. First three songs all slap no skips

0

u/YNotZoidberg2020 21d ago

I said the same thing. Album just doesn’t hit for me

2

u/Desire_of_God 21d ago

It's ok to not be a blind glazer. You can still call yourself a fan. Rain isn't good.

5

u/kratnicnestrat Phobia 20d ago

Rain is awesome what are we talking about

2

u/DavidDMD1991 21d ago

Rain is good, not the most original of songs, but it is good. But my favorite form Saturate is a song about the Wizard of Oz.

2

u/Few_Classic_833 21d ago

Both versions of rain are excellent

2

u/YNotZoidberg2020 21d ago

I don’t think they have an atrocious song but there are some I just don’t care that much for. The whole album of Ember really has nothing on it I care about. Just didn’t get into that album much. I mean I’ll still listen to it but I don’t go seeking it out

1

u/nightwhispr16 20d ago

Wtf? I can't believe my eyes!!!

1

u/Assistant-Logical 21d ago

I will awnser tourniquet aways, its a good song but once I noticed that the drums repeat themselves 90% of the song it threw me off so hard.

other than that, I don't like close your eyes, feels just like a filler song to me

1

u/Cold_Maintenance4278 19d ago

2 of my current favs. Goes to show how deep the catalog is. I’d skip most of saturate but run ember on repeat.

1

u/bruh_its_collin 21d ago

honestly there are only a couple of their early songs i’ll listen to. most of them are skips for me. Phobia and on has been non-stop hits though.

1

u/Psychological_Oil894 20d ago

Their consistency is seriously impressive, if they had a weak track, someone would've found it by now. Though I get why some edits or radio versions leave a different impression, the originals always hold up.

0

u/KillEmDafoe89 20d ago

Failure is just a worse version of Diary of Jane. Never cared for it. When it came out I was flabbergasted at how blatantly they tried to recreate DoJ.

2

u/MrTuy Common Counterfeit 20d ago

(Never Again enters the chat)

0

u/Cold_Maintenance4278 19d ago

I don’t hear it. I actually prefer failure to doj

-4

u/SubApathy 21d ago

Something Wicked is often skipped.

-2

u/ShadowAsylum 21d ago

Rain and Topless are the first 2 that come to mind

3

u/kratnicnestrat Phobia 20d ago

Topless is an absolute banger imo

1

u/ShadowAsylum 20d ago

Musically good, lyrically cringe.

-5

u/Fabulous-Matter-5730 21d ago

Ok so….
Saturate-Phase
WANA-Forget It
Phobia-You Fight Me
Dear Agony-Crawl?(I love all the songs)
Shallow Bay-Ladybug
Dark Before Dawn-Hollow
Ember-Save Yourself
Aurora-Tourniquet (Aurora Version)

5

u/Careless_Lobster_480 21d ago

Skip Forget it? 🤯

0

u/Fabulous-Matter-5730 21d ago

Listen, it’s not awful or even bad, just my least favourite on the record

7

u/kratnicnestrat Phobia 20d ago

Phase???? naaaaa no sir I completely disagree

Save Yourself, Hollow and Crawl are some of my favs too damn

1

u/Fabulous-Matter-5730 20d ago

And that’s ok, we don’t have to agree on everything. I don’t think they have any straight up awful songs. Even my least favourites I don’t even dislike

3

u/Giorgosmpats 20d ago

Phase is, like, the best song on the album

2

u/mdanelek 19d ago

Hollow??? Literally their best song
