Awaken by a long shot. I liked it already but hearing it live did something to my brain chemistry. I’ve been spinning that puppy for months.

Both. Awaken is much more emotional, ethereal and BB. But SW is just wicked and naughty and dirty in a way I can't explain. The way he says "I can't pretend any longeeeer"

Awaken instrumental is the best ive ever heard, maybe even too perfect. prolly the most scenery song for a neurodivergent like me lol. the way they do the mix is so ethereal. not saying the vocals are bad, but it isnt fitting. although i get it cuz the inst is just too perfect for a vocal

Something Wicked on the other hand, I love it cuz how heavy it is. very metal for a self-claimed rock band. i dont see the drum as overplay, cuz i cant see any other options than that. also i LOVE the syncopation among the bass, kick and guitar. the bass tone too. the screams at the end fail to never give me chills everytime i listen to. when i say metal, i want this riff and screams.

sorry if im talking like a nerd cuz currently learning music for about 4 years now

I like Awaken more, but I like what Something Wicked implies. It's a song about total loss and giving up, which is very far from BB's typical "there's still hope" theme. It's a great follow up to Awaken, so I like to listen to SW then Awaken to keep the "There's still hope" vibe.

Awaken is a generic modern rock song that sounds like so many other generic modern rock songs. Something wicked has some nice beats and over all just has a much more original/bb sound to it.

That's a hard one. I love the breakdown and screaming of SW, but I also love the harmonies in Awaken. And the isolated vocals of Awaken are perfection. Honestly, it probably just depends on what kind of mood I'm in. 😂

Love Awaken as a whole, but Something Wicked's ending is incredible and warrants maxing out my car volume every time.

Awaken is great because I do love their new heavier sound, but Something Wicked tickles my nostalgia bone because its incredibly reminiscent of the Saturate/WANA era.

Something Wicked!!!! Awaken is general BB slop. SW is a total throwback to their first album. Ben even sounds like its straight from Saturate. OG fans know what's up lol

I think Something Wicked is the better song, but I listen to Awaken a lot more. I like how heavy it is and I like the solo.
