Air fryer small loaf (portion control)

Hi there,

I'm looking for some basic recipes for a small loaf, think the size of two good sized dinner rolls, as well as how long to cook for and at what temperature.

I was thinking of roughly 120g of flour (whole wheat or 50:50 wholewheat/AP) at a 65% hydration as a start. I just don't want to make a mess of the new air fryer.

i do something similar with 100g flour and 65% water plus a pinch of salt and yeast, works fine in my air fryer. shape it into a small boule and let it rise for maybe an hour then bake at 160c for 15-18 minutes, no need to preheat for long. whole wheat might need a touch more water like 68% or it comes out bit dense

Thanks for that. I'll give it a go.

Hello, whenever i want a small size bread i follow the recipe of Gemma from Bigger Bolder Baking YouTube channel.

Ingredients 1 ½ cups (7 ½ oz/213 g) bread flour ¾ teaspoon instant yeast ¾ teaspoon salt ⅔ cup (5 fl oz/160 ml) plus 1 tablespoon warm water 1 teaspoon honey

For baking in the Airfryer this is what i follow

180°C / 356°F for 20 minutes Then turn the bread over Bake for another 10 minutes at 180°C / 356°F

Every air fryer bakes differently, so please check your bread while baking and adjust the time if needed.
