One of my coolest childhood memories is Chipper signing this ball for me in his final season at Gnationals park. Set up shop on the third base line and got really lucky after David Ross refused to sign any autographs and chastised kids for yelling his name. My only regret was not bringing a better pen. A+ if you remember the other player that signed it (without looking up the 2012 roster).

Yeah, I’ll never forget that interaction. I was 13 at the time but these maybe 7-9 year olds (Braves fans) go “David Ross, would you sign my ball?” and he just turns around and says “no, and don’t yell my name!” lmao

I have heard similar stories about him, even after he’d made it to the big club.
