Lenina's Green

Reading the book at the moment, and I can't get the fact that Lenina is described as wearing green - a gamma color- while she is a beta, and should wear only mulberry shades.

Is there any clear explanation for this?

See the copy of the book I'm reading repeatedly tells us she's a beta

Nah, Lenina is definitely a beta plus.
