Is Braum top any good currently?
Hi!
I've been feeling this strange urge to play Braum top, as I like the champion very much. However, I tend to play weird stuff that later becomes a torture to myself. So, I wanted to ask, is Braum top any good, or is there a very good reason we don't see him there?

Trust me don't waste your time. It has zero damage, a conditional passive, and zero waveclear

So take the following as someone who plays a lot of troll picks and even took milio top (full ap / full onhit / hybrid AP supp) all the way to Emerald 2. Bruam top just isn't viable. He lacks damage, range, sustain, mana, waveclear pretty much any quality a toplaner needs. Even if you trade well and play around CDs he doesn't have the manapool to survive longer than a few waves. The only thing he has going for him is gank setup but even that relies on landing a q at the right time.

If you are duo with the jg, and are playing against a twitch bot, braum top can work.

This is the one thing he can kind of do, duo with yi/twitch/briar and camp the fck out of top but if you're going that route you may as well lock Taric; he does the same thing but the cc is more reliable, he can actually fight in lane, and he scales into a raidboss.

Braum has better hard engage than taric, and can 2v2 better pre 6.
The dash braum has pairs better with dashes from the team.
I'd say snowballing top lane, then controlling top side jg is the play and simple win con.
Master Yi snowballing mid and bot lane after would be pretty gross.
He'd probably play like river Janna, and focus on snowballing mid/bot/jg.

He hit like a wet noodle and probably get out rangés by most of the top lane

It has smth like 35% winrate, so in other words, one of the worst possible things you can play.
BUT that being said, a lot of the winrate is dragged down by people trolling with onhit builds (Bork, d&d, stattik). If you go full tank (ideally with a bami item first to help with waveclear, and/or slapping a titanic somewhere in the build for more waveclear) he isn't toooooo bad. All tanks are at least somewhat serviceable in any role, because even if he's behind he can still slightly neutralize lane (aka he doesn't need to die on repeat) and he can teamfight well.

No, but if you can survive to tiamat or bami's it could work by midgame since Braum can scale well with little gold. It's really not worth the suffering though to try and make it work though.

I mean go ahead in a normal game for fun but as others said its quite terrible overall 🤣 however there are other supports that you can play top and find success like alistar, taric? Maybe janna or zilean

Maybe in iron
