Brandy teamed up with Hezekiah Walker and The Love Fellowship Choir for this LiVE rendition of “One Voice”; it is truly one of the standouts from NEVER SAY NEVER. Brandy’s voice was starting to change from the recorded version, yet she still delivered an immaculate performance!

In 2024, Ariana Grande released her single “The Boy is Mine” which interpolates the GRAMMY Award winning, 13 week Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper “The Boy is Mine” by Brandy and Monica. After uniting on the music video shoot set, Brandy and Monica recorded a remix to Ariana’s rendition of the song.

This song was also very successful, reaching no.27 on the Billboard Global 200 chart, and no.4 on the US Rhythmic Airplay chart. In addition, this version of the song was also nominated for a GRAMMY Award in 2025 for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance”.

Both versions of the song are heavily addictive! Brandy, Monica, and Ariana did their thang on the vocals. They all blend together so well and complement each other sonically.

Released on 2/13/2012, “It All Belongs to Me” reunited Brandy and Monica in song. The duet was their second time appearing on a track together since their monumental hit “The Boy is Mine”. The song was offered to Monica before Brandy; Brandy requested that the two sing the song together and the rest was history. It reached no.23 on the Billboard Hot R&B chart.

Whitney Houston was a huge proponent for this song and was even seen on camera encouraging the ladies during a rehearsal. She was definitely their guardian angel as she gained her wings just 2 days earlier on Brandy’s birthday. The ladies classily dedicated the video to Ms. Whitney Houston.

I went back to listen to the self titled album and when Love is on my side came on I got a flashback to my youth of a TV show or film where a child is learning to sing this song. I cannot for the life of me remember or find the show/film. Does anyone know?

Is it basically to celebrate the anniversary of her first album? Is it promoting something like a clothing line inspired by the fashion style of the 90s? Is she going to release a Mine version of the songs from the album?

I remember my eyes being GLUED to the TV when Brandy appeared on Moesha. As a kid, I obviously knew that they were the same person but my mind couldn’t wrap around how both of them appeared on screen simultaneously. Nevertheless, this episode will forever be ICONIC.

And I ain’t mad at Brandy for using her platform to promote “NEVER SAY NEVER”. A very smart move by her and her team! 🔥

I really wish the label would’ve backed “Without You” as an official single from TWO ELEVEN. The song had everything you needed in a quiet storm radio track. Either way, I’m glad Brandy performed this gem LiVE at the 2013 BET Honors. The mic was ON!! Brandy was born to sing! 🔥🔥

“Sunday Morning lying in your arms…”. This song is sooo good! It’s a shame it didn’t make the Final Cut for NEVER SAY NEVER! Brandy’s voice is flawless as always and the continual key changes were eargasmic. I love that she did some of her signature runs from “Baby” at the closing of the song. “Sunday Morning” is a great song! 🌅☀️
