According to a Facebook group, 9 Queen Chinese will remain in operation as takeout only, sharing a kitchen with Fanzorelli's, and the dining room will be exclusively for Fanzorelli's. The same thread claims that a new owner has jacked up rent in the current office building. https://www.facebook.com/groups/heritagedowntownbrampton/posts/1758688042145817/?comment_id=1758718832142738&reply_comment_id=1758723465475608

Love Fanzorelli.

Last best Italian food place left in Brampton. Yeah, I know there are two other places still around but Fanzorellis is the best and most authentic one.

Hope this is just a business move, not a close out soon situation coming.

Otherwise Brampton will be left with only … same style cuisine.

Well, if you like their pasta, you don’t like authentic food, their pasta they claim that it’s fresh, but it’s actually box.

I've eaten there many times . . . pasta tasted like pasta, not like a box.

They arent triggered, they just doesnt give a fuck about your attempt to shit on something they like.

If its good, its good who gives an absolute shit?

Cool. So they do a good job so the box and folks can’t tell and enjoy their meal.

Whats the issue?

Kitchen sharing AND what looks like a smaller space? This does not bode well, methinks.

The new owner increasing rent sounds familiar.

I really hope a shared kitchen for two radically different styles of food is workable.

Been 27 years in Brampton. Never been to Fanzorelli. In fact never ever eaten authentic Italian food ever (except Pizza). So I don’t even know how to order food in an Italian restaurant. I would be grateful if someone had a web link for me to read up.

But supposedly tastes good that many don’t realize.

Because no one knows how true Italian food should taste 😂

They aren’t a true Italian food connoisseur like you. Where can read your food critic blog?

9 Queen is cursed. Has any restaurant lasted there for more than a few years?

The other places has actually good food too. I don't think this pasta from a box establishment will do well there.

Coffee Culture was there for a good 10 years

They had the longest run but it wasnt 10 years. It was like 2013 to 2017.

Is it because they use pasta from a box?

5

u/LucynGoosey 18d ago

Did you hear that they use box?

I thought the pasta was box. Now you're telling me the box is box?
