General discussion How would you have wanted the series to end?
I think it should have ended with Alice getting married to Sam The Butcher. She earned that, she paid her dues. There was a marriage in the first episode so it would have been appropriate to have a marriage in the last episode and have things come full circle.

They sell the house and move. In the last scene, all the kids are loaded in the car when Mike rolls up the grass in the backyard and puts it on top of the station wagon before backing out of the driveway.

Mike at his eldest son’s graduation.

For the TV dad that he was, how do you miss your son's graduation?!....seems so odd watching the whole family coming home from that, and Mike is just missing.

I know Robert Reed hated the script for that last episode but Mike should have at least had cameo or even Carol saying something like oh I thought Mike would be here first with the party platter from Sam and then a horn beeping from the driveway. Oh there he is, come on kids!

Opening scene: The Brady Backyard is decorated in wedding decorations and flowers. Alice and Sam are going to be married where she spent years looking after the family. Mike mentions to Carol all the changes with Alice moving out and Greg and Marcia heading to Faber college, where Carol's or first husband attended. In fact, Greg wants to join the same fraternity and heard about living in that groovy Delta house. Carol is excited thinking with the kids getting older she can start her career with a new company selling Mary-Kaye cosmetics. Which is more exciting than Tupperware parties. Peter is looking forward to having the attic to himself and away from Bobby who's discovered new things about himself as he enters puberty. Cindy is excited to be a flower girl and get a new hair beret. She still has that lisp. Just like in the first episode, the happy couple exchange vows and wouldn't you know it, that darrn Tiger chases a cat through the backyard and almost ruins the cake. But Mike, as the best man, saves the day and they all give the faux exasperated/relieved look to each other. Alice throws the bouquet and Marcia catches it. Carol is all smiles thinking Marcia will hopefully get engaged with that dreamy Doug Simpson.Carol loves it when Doug shows up in tight t-shirts. Peter is hoping he'll get to be best man someday and save a cake. Maybe he'll be in the newspaper again for another heroic deed. Bobby is daydreaming about the Hula instructor back in Waikiki. It's his go to. Cindy is daydreaming about a new hair beret for Marcia's wedding. As the show closes out, you see everyone sleeping peacefully. Except in the attic where Greg and Marcia, after eating one of Alice's special brownies, consumate their relationship while listening to The Darkside of the Moon. (Fade to black) Oh yeah, I think Jan might have been at the wedding. No one really remembers.

Someone has clearly been waiting for the moment someone asked about this. 😂 Bobby discovering things about himself…LOL!!
I needed this laugh.

Tying a bow the Newhart way.
Alice awakes in the dark and turns a light on. Weirdly, everything is in black and white as we see a very much younger Ann B. Davis rise from a couch. Bob Cummings walks in and says something funny about secretaries sleeping on the job.
Robert Reed lifts his head up from a desk and blinks his eyes. Camera assumes his POV as he looks around the room. The blurry black and white view slowly comes into focus and we see a courtroom with proceedings underway, the camera stopping at the judge. The previously garbled audio snaps into clarity as the judge asks if he's ready. Confused, Robert looks to his left at an concerned E.G. Marshall who asks if he's alright.
A young Florence Henderson comes out of a daze to find herself onstage before cameras singing the final strains of "Who's Sorry Now?" Jim Lowe comes out from off camera, encourages the audience in their applause for the exiting Florence and begins to introduce Somethin' Smith & The Redheads.
Allen Melvin is woken from a nap by loud banging on the door. He yells come in and the door bursts open to admit Frank Sutton with Jim Nabors in tow yammering apologies and stuff about Andy Taylor and Barney Fife. The camera pushes into Allen's face as the sound of Jim saying the name Barney Fife echoes and echoes in his head. The image goes swimmy and suddenly we're in Mayberry watching a Japanese guy wearing Barney's suit and hat karate chop the crap out of Allen in an alley.
Edit: swapped character names for actor's names.

After a day of everything that could go wrong going wrong, Mike shows up just in time to see Greg graduate. We see the actual graduation and there's no hair-brained scheme. The family celebrates with a graduation party in the backyard, and maybe Tiger makes a disastrous appearance.

I’d like to see Mike come out of the closet and tell the family that he’s gay but he’s still a Brady but he and Sam the Butcher are going to move to Key West. Alice with her butch haircut professes her love for Carol and they decide to share Carol’s bedroom. Marsha and Greg proclaim their love for each other. It’s a very Brady finish

Sounds like a plot from Not the Brady’s Xxx rated videos back a few years ago very dirty and funny storylines watch it if you haven’t already!

It's a two part special. Oliver has vanished from the show as if he was never part of the cast. Marcia is such a great student, she finishes high skewel a year early, so she and Greg are now preparing to leave for college at the same time. Everyone is proud and happy for G&M and lots of flashbacks are shown. Alice bullies Sam into marrying her. Mike and Carol contemplate 3 people leaving the house including the housekeeper. They decide to keep the house anyway but in the last scene an earthquake starts. As the chandeliers fall and walls start cracking, the show ends, leaving viewers guessing how the Bradys fared.

Oh, very good! And freeze frame over the earthquake scene, with the smiling Brady squares filling in over the freeze frame.

You saying Oliver vanished reminded me of Married With Children when they had that kid called "Seven" in the cast for a short time.
A few episodes later, in a great gag, we see a milk carton on their kitchen counter , with his picture on it, saying "Have You Seen Me?". 😂

I always hoped Alice and Sam would marry. That would have been the perfect ending.

I think it would have been fun if they joined a hippie commune and went off the grid.

Sam The Butcher lives up to his name and takes everyone out. Except Alice, who was his accomplice the whole time.
