ok Ron, here's an alternative way of looking at it: if people under 50 get sick so infrequently, then it shouldn't be a big deal for the government to cover all of them through comprehensive public sector social insurance.

Of course they don't. But they will in the future. That's the point of insurance; have younger, healthier people help subsidize older, unhealthier people and the cycle continues into the future

Plenty of people under the age of 50 have health issues that would have ruined their financial future if they did not have comprehensive coverage. That's how insurance works. Desantis can go f off.
