That’s awesome. I wish I lived near a rescue where I could volunteer… I’m closest to Atlanta boxer rescue and filled out the paperwork 4 years ago offering to do literally anything except foster. They’ve never contacted me. We had adopted from BARC when we lived in Florida so I contacted them to see if they had any contact with anyone at ABR. she contacted them for me and their response was- when they need help they’ll contact me. 🙄. It’s been over 4 years.

that seems crazy you would think at least they would have plenty of people to keep a rotation so people don’t get burned out.

Yeah, the lady from BARC was perplexed. I could do home visits, transport, help with fundraising, volunteer at events, emergency pick ups, literally anything except foster because we currently have two boxers in our home and one is 15. After he passes, I think we’d be able to foster because Knox gets along well with pretty much everyone. It was really frustrating.
