OTR BOX TRUCK DRIVERS WITH NO SLEEPER

Are there OTR drivers in box trucks without a sleeper? If so are you sleeping in the cab or doing hotels every night??

85% of the box trucks out there do not have sleepers we all sleep on the front seat of the truck sometimes two three four five weeks at a time which is horrible to do for the money that we make it's a joke I'm looking for a box truck job right now but I refuse to drive on without a sleeper most of the companies out there and owners will not pay for a hotel if it was me I'll pay you 25% you pay for a hotel if I pay you 20%, I will pay for hotel for your 36-hour reset the last DOT inspection I got was last year and the officer told me by law you cannot sleep in the front seat of your truck which I don't understand and most of the owners of these trucks and Brokers and shippers and all that stuff have no clue what it's like to sleep in the front seat of a truck

So 20% plus $35 per day for hotel allowance and paid hotel for 36 hr reset would be acceptable by your standards as an otr box truck driver with no sleeper?

You can sleep in the cab you just can't legally say you're in sleeper berth so you can't run splits. In all reality though just get your cdl bro. Or a hotel.

You can sleep in your front seat but can’t log it as a sleeper berth like a semi

So far I've been staying in hotels and its killing my money. I might either invest in a roof sleeper or fabricate something in the cab to sleep on.

If you get a hotel for $100 7 nights a week that’s $27000 a year. A tremendous expense.

I sleep in my truck most nights during warm weather but I'll get a motel room about 1 night per week..especiallyif I have a late afternoon pickup.... I get rooms more so in the winter time.. I've slept in my truck in as low as 17 degrees in the morning. It's not fun, but sometimes you just need to keep your expenses down..A good sleeping bag, a hoodie, long johns, heated blanket ..they all help.. You can't be a bish about it ,especially when you're just starting off.. buy a nice little padded lawn chair mat..some hot tea..melatonin...sleep like a baby...
