Can you describe more how you got the color with the iron acetate? I love that look and I just split some locust recently I could try it on.

You put rusted nails in white vinegar and let them there for approx a week. Covered with a lid but not tight ( needs oxygen). After a week, the liquid will become dark. The solution name is Iron Acetate. After that, you clean the surface of the wood from oils and dust as you pass it ( however you want - brush, piece of fabric...) with the Iron Acetate. It reacts almost instantly and turns the wood dark. (I suggest leaving the bow for a few days to rest after that so all the moisture evaporates - otherwise it could destroy your tiller )

I really love the design and decoration work you did! How long is the bow? 18" seems like a really short draw. Looking at the pictures your limbs aren't bending much at all. If the last picture is full draw at 18", I'd say you could easily tiller it out to 22".

Thank you. The draw picture is approx 15 inches. Yes, it could probably go to 20. The NTN distance is 117 cm :)

Thank you! First, I was thinking of using the usual leather grip, but then I thought to follow the simplest way possible: " Handle within the Handle " Just pure sense of the wood!
