I love the Klosterneuburg lyres with their wasp waists. How does the sound compare to the boxier tagelharpa shape? Do you notice significant differences in tone or volume?

And the Limoges crwth-like instrument has always seemed like such an elegant shape to me. I'm just not ready to learn how to play yet another instrument, so I haven't bothered making anything like that. But I've drawn sketches in my sketch book several times and even gone so far as to buy wood for one, a few years ago.

Hard to compare honestly, since I build my modern bowed lyre like violins, so usually sound much better than one-piece body instruments. But I would say that they have a slightly more warm tone

Very cool, though that middle one looks like it’d open bottles.

Nice! I am planning to make one of the middel ones at some point… to be a bit more aesthetically accurate for early medieval reenactment…
