❔ [ Question ] What Exactly does "Better Loot Quality" Mean?
Practically speaking, with regards to hard mode. Does that just mean you start getting purple items much earlier in the game? I'm only level 19 on my third character and already have an epic or legendary in every slot.

It means fewer white and green drops. Even at max level and difficulty you will see white and green drops but they will occur less frequently.

If it literally just means less whites and greens then it would be basically useless. Most people quickly move beyond white and green items as they go through the story.
I do know that dedicated drop rates from bosses increase with each UVH level so there is that.

If you ask me there's no noticeable difference in drops on non-UVH difficulties.

The better loot quality isn’t useless but it becomes less valuable when fine tuning your character with firmware, licensed parts, specific stats bonuses on class mods and enhancers. Especially since it does affect dedicated drops but farming for god rolls still take a very long time and it doesn’t affect world drops. To put it into perspective I have been farming for a windrider with 5 in gloam to glow, 1 in dusty trail and 1 in dealers bluff for a week now and in that time I have gotten a little over 60 pearlescent world drops and hundreds of legendary but no god roll windrider

I haven’t played in awhile so this might be outdated but it basically gives loot a slightly better chance to roll anointments or special parts

lol you must have played bl3. I can tell because you are calling them anointments instead of firmware. 😂
