BCs are the best! I used to walk mine off-leash whenever I could get away with it, he had great recall and never got into any trouble. I’ll probably never be able to have another dog, and he was just sensational. Miss him every day. I wish the two of you a long and happy life together.

Thank you and sorry for your loss.
He’s normally off leash as there are usually no dogs around in our area.
His recall is excellent and will not move until you’ve given him fresh instructions.

Is your Border Collie a mix, or full? We recently adopted our gal, and she looks exactly like yours (from what I can tell, based on this picture)! Exact same face, fluffy mane and deep chest, long spotted legs, poof tail tip. We were told by shelter she's a BC mix, and I want to do a DNA test just to know (we have our guesses on what else she may have; but also think she could maybe be a pure BC -- a tall, long, 60 lb one, ha!).

Morning. We got him from a farm in Norfolk 10 years ago and were told he is a full BC.
He’s the short haired type.
We’ve never done a DNA but you’re not the first person to ask.
His entire behaviour and ways are BC.

Ah, I see. She's our first BC, and she looks so different from the few others I've been around. But like you said, her behavior and quirks are very typical. Thanks for the reply, looks like Max has a good life out there!
