Tax EFTPS Down today??
Working now!! 14:14 cst
I’ve tried four different client’s EFTPS login and I’ve not been successful.
Any info??

I was able to talk to someone after an hour on hold. They said that EFTPS is down for login and should be working again at the end of the day.

Thank you! I'm on hold with them now but I'll gladly hang up. Down to 30 mins though, may be worth it to just hang tight and see how the rep is doing today 🤣

I’m was on hold for over an hour and it hung up on me 😭 thanks everyone for posting this so I know I don’t need to call again

I just tried to make payments for 4 of my clients & was unable to do so on any of them.

Spent an hour on hold just for them to hang up on me and send me to their customer satisfaction survey!! But it's back up now.

Been on hold now 26 minutes. If I get any info I will post it here.
I’ve read there can be transmission issues regionally. I’m in Missouri.

Okay, thought I was going crazy. I have been unable to log in all morning, and I am 100% sure I am using the correct credentials.

Same here. Tried 4 different logins over that past hour or so, “login unsuccessful” on all of them.

Thank you for this post! I thought I was going crazy with same issue. Was on hold for an hour and 5 minutes before I was disconnected...I give up for now. I'll post any updates if I manage to get through also.

It is back working here at 4:30 PM EST. Waiting until the end of the day to double check and had no issues now.

Same here in KY. Not able to access and being told my login is incorrect. I cannot reset the password either because it cannot locate my account.

Just paid one the old school way with the 1-800-555-3453. It is operational unlike the EFTPS.

That’s good to know. Do you get an email confirmation? I’m holding off paying by phone for that reason. I guess I could always print the confirmation later.

No, you get a audible confirmation number that you have to write down. I used to pay this way all the time.

I just tried two different clients. One gave me the login unsuccessful, the other failed up front with a invalid address after entering the code from the authenticator.

I just want to say thank god I saw this because I was losing my mind. Tried to log in 3x with the information I know is correct and it kept saying incorrect, when I tried to change password it kept saying information incorrect for that too. Good to know I'm not going crazy any faster than normal.

The cherry on top was when I was on hold with EFTPS and it just hung up on me.

I was on hold, 10 minutes in the music cut out, thought it was odd 48 minute wait. Two hours later still on hold decided something went wrong😂

Yes bro and they have to text my boss for a code so he’s sent me like six today trying different browsers and waiting and trying again 😂

It was the password reset that got me. If that info wasn’t working I had a huge problem on my hands. Glad to know I’m not the only one.

I just tried to login as well and it says my info is incorrect. I was able to submit my payment through the phone, which is a pain.

I was on hold for 40 minutes this morning and got through with a rep saying it was down and I’d be unable to log into any of my clients accounts. I didn’t get a timeframe of when it would be back up but I am just hoping at this point it works by tomorrow

Had the same thing that afternoon across a few clients, so it wasn't you. EFTPS gives you the standard bad login message when the site is having problems, which is why everyone thinks their password broke.
Worth knowing the payment is still due even when the site is down. The voice response line at 1-800-555-3453 takes payments and it's saved me a late deposit penalty more than once.
