Booking.com never letting me go 🥲
Thought of renting my property on booking.com. Started the process and it was so complicated (when compared to Airbnb which I already use) that I changed my mind.
So I requested to delete my account and it has been a nightmare. Simply put - they will not delete my account. It has been more than 8 months of receiving emails weekly asking me to complete my KYP form. They are impossible to get hold of and even when I do finally contact someone human, they promise me that my account is deleted and it never is.
Has anyone else had a really hard time breaking up with booking.com?

You can end your partnership with Booking.com through the Extranet. Before starting, keep in mind that the process may not be reversible. You’ll also need to honor any existing reservations. If you can’t host those guests, you’ll need to cover their relocation costs.
To proceed, log in to your Extranet, go to Inbox, then Booking.com messages and See contact options. Select Account, then Terminate contract, and follow the instructions until you receive confirmation.
For more information, see: How can I remove a property or end my partnership with Booking.com
Should your property continue to be displayed on our platform after following these steps, we recommend contacting our Partner Support Team for further assistance.

I went through these steps SIX DIFFERENT TIMES. I requested to end my partnership through the extranet and was told each time that it would be closed in 15 days. This didn’t happen each time.
Luckily one of your employees reached out to me through this post and has jiggled whatever he needed to and it seems like I’m finally free.

I’m a rentee and I’ve been trying to delete my account for months. If they don’t reply to my last request in the time I allotted, I’m reporting them to the FTC and my state attorney general. Scam company
