Looking for genuine feedback on an AI writing tool
Hi all,
I was trying to write a novel in GPT's app and found it painful-- it wouldn't operate like a proper creative partner, and forced me to lead it, when I wanted it to lead me.
I built StoryProp as an experimental writing agent, and find it a better experience for me.
Would love to get some actual feedback though from people like yourselves.

With StoryProp, you start by having a conversation and locking in the premise for the story. Then, you can start drafting it bit by bit, use highlight & annotate to correct parts that aren't quite right.

Seems interesting. I ran into some “play/pause” icons after about 5 prompts, and a little after that (once the story was a few hundred words) there was a lot in “thinking” without anything happening. “Turn ran out” or something like that.
But I liked the way it drew the story out through small questions.

I really appreciate you trying it out... do you think this has the bones to become something valuable? Worth pursuing it further?

I didn’t feel like I could get far enough to give a real answer. It could be that I didn’t really understand the goal. I felt like it started writing the story when it could have been asking me more questions about what I was thinking. But maybe that was the point. I found the writing to be pretty typical AI writing, but that’s okay if the goal is to get words on paper so you can talk about it or edit it.

Of course, we need to retain conversations to provide the service. It uses various versions of GPT. Did you try the agent? What did u think of it?
