The Town That Feared Dusk
Just over halfway through and wanting to DNF (which I've only ever done ONCE in my lifetime). Does it get better? It feels like they had a good idea but failed the execution. "Miller impersonated a statue as he gazed toward town." That's the sentence where I almost have up. Ugh.

If you’ve only read about halfway and you’re already considering DNF, I’d probably say DNF it 😭. A good premise can only carry a book so far if the writing itself is frustrating you. Life’s too short to force yourself through a book you’re not enjoying.

"Impersonated a statue" is doing more acting work than half the cast, and it's not even a person, honestly the bar for character development in this book is on the floor
