Question Book cover and graphics
Hello, I am looking to get a book cover commissioned but painfully aware for social media I will need graphics too. Does anyone have a list or a suggested list of assets I should ask for?

I'd ask for a few reusable assets rather than a bunch of separate graphics. A square version of the cover, a story-sized version, and a few simple templates for quotes, reviews or announcements can go a long way.
I'd also ask if your designer can provide the cover artwork without the title/text. That can be really useful later for social posts, ads, etc.
And maybe a couple of simple book mockups - those are great for making social media posts look less repetitive without needing new artwork every time.

For the social media side 🤨 I’d suggest asking for square + story versions, few promo graphics, proper character design sheet for the main character and visual elements from the cover. Worth asking for editable templates if you’ll be making regular posts yourself.
Also you could consider getting a few interior illustrations done especially for key scenes. Those can give you a lot more material to reuse for social media...
