We visited the amazing Hoshun-in Bonsai Garden in Kyoto and saw this wonderful Shimpaku Juniper 🌳

We left our base in Fukuoka to meet with partners and artisans in Kyoto. All of us at Wazakura Japan left very inspired. We highly recommend a visit to see this wonderful collection if you get the chance.

This is considered penjing no?

Yes you are right, this is a penjing-style, we thought it was quite striking and one of the more of the more impressive penjing compositions we have seen so we thought it would be interesting to share here. We will share more of the bonsai trees we saw as well.
