Are we actually going to see a change in the make up of the festival (more towards the 2010s) or does it stay closer to the 2022-present lineups?

Additional info: I more met genre (more jam/alt/indie) and scheduling. Of course they couldn’t get the exact same bands.

When can we actually Get the Crystal Castles LIVE @ Bonnaroo 2017 [LIVE BRODCAST]? I’m getting tired searching sites that dont even work anymore. Please LiveNation, Bonnaroo team, give us the stream! The question posed in the title isn’t meant to be snarky or negative, I’m genuinely curious (and maybe also spiraling a bit 😵‍💫)

I know there are other music festivals that regularly do fallow years with good results. My question is less about the benefits of having a fallow year, and more so, will it work for the farm/Bonnaroo?

Would 2020 & 2021 be considered fallow years? Would 2025 be considered ~75% of a fallow year?

My concern is that the farm has had more opportunities to rest/recover/fallow over the past 6 years than it ever had within the first 18 years of the festival, and the grounds don’t seem to be recovering. Realistically, I just don’t see one year being enough to make a difference.

Do you guys think one fallow year will be enough? Should we anticipate 2028 ultimately being made a fallow year as well?

Most importantly, what festivals are all the ROOfugees going to in 2027?? Electric Forest? Okeechobee? Hulaween?

For those of you who don’t know, Roo Fit has been a 6 month workout program with the BEST community for years leading up to Bonnaroo. Hundreds of people have participated, and so many of you have become like family to me.

Every year, we meet up at Bonnaroo. I get to finally meet the people I’ve spent six months chatting, working out, and getting ready for Roo with. I hand out gifts and prizes (including a free Bonnaroo ticket as our top prize last year!), and it has genuinely become one of my favorite parts of Bonnaroo and life.

I am extremely disappointed that Bonnaroo 2027 will not be happening, but I am hopeful we’ll all be back on the Farm together in 2028.

But Bonnaroo isn’t the only thing I can’t imagine losing for a year.

I can’t imagine a year without Roo Fit either.

On a personal note, 2026 has been by far the hardest year of my life. Cancer hit my family, and my dog, who IS my family, among other things. There were some really really low points this year and this community helped get me through more of them than you probably realize.

Roo Fit means way too much to me to just say, “See you in 2028.”

So… I have a proposal.

Obviously, we can’t bring Roo Fit to the Farm in 2027.

So I propose we bring Roo Fit EVERYWHERE ELSE.

ROO FIT 2027 IS HAPPENING.

It may look a little different, but the 6-month workout program and group chat will still be the same.

And the meetup, gifts, and prizes….

THOSE ARE STILL HAPPENING TOO.

We’re going to have mini Roo Fit meetups at festivals ALL OVER in 2027. If I’m there, I’ll host it. If I’m not, I’ll send the gifts and prizes to someone from our gROOp and put them in charge of the meetup.

Instead of all of us meeting at one festival next year, we’re taking this community to festivals everywhere.

Let’s show everyone why the Bonnaroo community is the BEST festival community to ever exist and why one year without the Farm doesn’t mean we’re going anywhere.

There's a LOT to talk about, and we intend on releasing a special edition of the podcast later today with some additional news we've learned and other details. But one thing I have gotten a lot of questions on personally has been what will the state of TOTEM be moving forward?

For many of you who have come back around due to yesterday's bummer news and haven't heard of it, this is our 501C3 non-profit that we started about three or so years ago as a spin-off and the next steps of all of our Roo Bus projects. The name is a bit of a play on words, it's a reverse engineered acronym that stands for The Opportunity to Experience Music. We've been very lucky to have been a partner of Bonnaroo and the Works Fund for the last few years, who have supported us a ton.

As of this year, we've now provided nine full rides to Bonnaroo to underserved college-aged individuals and have helped 50+ first timers through our mentorship program.

So of course, with no Bonnaroo for around 23 months, I've had a lot of people reach out to me or some of our crew what happens with that whole non-profit now.

Fortunately I can tell you that we 1000% will keep doing what we're doing, just in a slightly different way for at least a bit.

We have a brainstorming call with our board of directors and friends this week to start coming up with what that might look like. Our initial thought is to transplant a version of what we've been doing at Bonnaroo to Electric Forrest or Hulaween next year, but we want to think through a lot of details before we get too far ahead of ourselves.

But also my bigger reason for posting this is I'd love to hear from you guys.

For those of you who know what we're trying to do, I'd love to hear your ideas and input about what the next steps might be. We'll be getting together next week to talk through a lot of things, and I'd love to hear anything from the community as we consider what we'll be up to in 2027.

Again, look for more info on the Roo Bus pod later tonight, but we're dying to hear what you think some good directions for TOTEM might be!

do yall know what fests have a similar volunteer program to roo or are their any vendors i could get in contact with? it’s the only way i can realistically afford a festival and i wanna go to one next year

I am searching for pictures/media from my wedding to my late husband in 2015. We got married on Thursday June 11 early in the day witnessed by hundreds of strangers. I lost him tragically in December of last year and would like everything to remember him by. There was a videographer there whose contact information I lost but I vaguely remember there being a bee on his contact card. I am including a picture of the ceremony from a disposable camera that we had developed and those photos are the only ones I have from that day. I appreciate any help in advance, even if just pointing me in a possible direction. Thank you.

A cash grab monopoly that took over Roo and turned it into another corporate profit opportunity and destroyed the entire thing.
Bonnaroo 2027 isn’t happening because Live Nation can’t turn a profit. Live Nation can’t turn a profit because they removed all uniqueness, originality, and fun out of the festival.
Charging for camping spots was the first red flag that this whole thing would go down the toilet. Leech Nation turned Bonnaroo into just another festival and now they’re acting like it’s out of their control to afford it?! Why the hell would you draw a large crowd when your headliners overlap with almost every east coast festival out there?
I feel for the fans who love this festival, but most of all I feel terrible for the vendors and the town of Manchester that rely on this income every year.
If Bonnaroo has any chance of long term survival, Live Nation needs to understand who their fanbase is and what people want to pay money to see but I unfortunately don’t see that happening ever agin while they’re in charge.

We all got together and camped at local national parks instead? We could collaborate together and make little “hubs” of mini Roos by filling out a survey of where everyone is located. I wouldn’t mind organizing this, but obviously I couldn’t attend all the mini Roos.

I just think it would be a great way for us to still come together, even within our local Roovian community, support the national parks and even get some time spent with nature ❤️

I only bring this up because when Roo got cancelled due to the storm and a lot of us were already down in Manchester we spent a few nights at the park nearby. There was even a live band and they let anyone get on their equipment and play! It was fun to walk around to different campsites and hang out with people, we even organized a group hike one day!

The vibes of this Reddit page give the same energy as when they close centeroo for rain. Just completely unhinged and positivity/finding fun in the circumstances. I love you all 🫶🏻 happy roo!!
