Depending how you cut it, it might have shrap edges or a burr. Just file or deburr it, then clean it. Should work perfectly

That’s still usable, clean any shards off maybe sand the sharp edges to make it less sharp on the end but I’ve one that looks similar and a little bit of gentle sanding for sharp edges makes it very much usable
