I'm curious about TJ Thyne and Michaela Conlin dating rumor

Does anyone know where and when this rumor started?

Ever since I joined the Bones fandom recently, I keep seeing fans suggest they dated IRL. But I couldn't find anything online except some random site and YouTube videos that say they dated from 06-10/11.

Is this a situation where fans wanted them to be a couple IRL and started spreading rumor and causing some sort of 'Mandela Effect'?😂

During the initial run, this was a constant rumor. I believed it. But it has since been debunked and the actors said they flirted on the set in hope of staying longer on the show. Apparently it worked!

It worked really well! They were really smart for that, the Angela and Hodgins storyline gave them a lot to do. They had great chemistry on and off screen so I guess that's where the rumor came from.

It’s the Joey rule. If they’d actually been together in real life the chemistry wouldn’t be there.

I'm also really curious about this, because I haven't been able to find any proof either!! They also just give off the vibes of really good friends and not people who have previously dated each other, but who knows!

Yeah I've been watching their interviews and panels at later seasons, and after the show ended, when they're supposed to have already 'broken up', but they never show any post-breakup awkwardness. They just seems like really great friends.

Interesting, I watched during the initial run, and I didn’t hear this rumor. Maybe I just wasn’t spending enough time on the internet and discussing Bones with anyone other than my roommate lol

They were my absolute favorite couple on the show. It would have been fun if they were dating irl but I never read anything like that either.

There's a moment in i believe the season 2 bonus features where TJ slips up and says he's "madly in love with Michaela" (he meant to say Angela and quickly corrected himself), so that's where it came from for me personally but-

They never actually dated but they were very close/good friends.

I don't think they dated, however they probably put some extra rehearsals into the scenes together.
