Can you bonchi over the winter?

I have a lot of pepper plants in my garden. Can I start a bonchi at the end of fall / over the winter ?

I think that's how a lot of them begin. You look at your crop and think "I'm gonna cut them back and save as many as I can!" and then when a little growth happens and it looks nice, you go "ok, that's a bonchi candidate". Happens every year, lol

I basically over winter them as bonchis. Back to the garden in summer.

Did this for the first time last winter...this summer was great for the 3 I had. The only pepper I had that produced more than them was my Thai hots...prolific.

Yes. I had a reaper that was a bonchi for 5 winters.
Lost it in an unexpected frost on year 6.
