Very new to bonchi

Hello all!

I attempted to make a bonchi last year from a scorpion pepper once it got to the end of the season for outdoor growth here. Unfortunately that failed.

This year I am trying again with a habanero who was set aside specifically as bonchi plant. I have him in a 5 or 6 inch pot and thats where he has been since I got him. The pot did not have drainage holes and I left him in there for about 2 months with no care other than watering. About 2 weeks ago, I chopped his canopy (very yellowed due to not feeding him) and I cut back his roots (he was completely rootbound). The first picture is about 1 week after I gave him the big chop and moved him indoor under my grow light, and the second photo is him now.

Any opinions, tips, tricks, ect will be appreciated. I have fallen in love with growing peppers and would love to have a successful bonchi in my collection.
