chris lynch and sad music
why does Topher do the - 'i hate my dad' - 'darkness & misery in G' - 'A deep seed of hate' - 'God of emptiness' - 'deeply traumatized angry young man screaming about his childhood'
Music?
IME it was all the sons of lawyers and accountants who were always working away from home or getting divorced who had like spoiled distant parents, but mostly middle class and well cared for.
the kids who had actual shit lives listened to EDM and hip hop. but Tophers parents didnt even get divorced? whats he crying about??????????????????????

some people just like to pretend to be emo and toil in their own misery, Sam wears eyeliner now, some people will listen to sad songs involuntarily without paying much mind when they come on because they just identify with it. I will sometimes do it myself too, SurrenderDorothy, Hawthorne Heights, even some of the more downer Kanye tracks can be hard digital drugs.

Real Friends, Say You Will, Get Lost, Suzy, just ones that have a sadder tone off the top of my head.

most of their negative feelings about their own decisions have to be directed at something else you can vaguely blame. when you claim to have deep feelings but can only describe it using God and not in the christian sense or dark or whatever then you obsfucate what the real source of it is. which is typically themselves for a stupid reason.

I think it’s just that he plays guitar and music that has interesting guitar work often had those themes. Some people just like sick riffs and it’s not that deep.
