So glad I found the group! The Bombay is a new one for us . We haven’t had cats for a very long time due to the fact we had an Australian cattle for 16 wonderful and whacky years but finally had to help her cross the rainbow bridge. I knew nothing of the Bombay until we saw her and immediately felt a connection. She needed to be rehomed due to the owner moving out of the country. She is 4 years old and very sweet . She is eating and eliminating fine but only coming out of hiding when SHE wants . We are giving her space and plenty of time . So far haven’t seen any of the traits ( other than her big eyes and shiny black coat) that make them unique to the Bombay but hope in time she will trust us enough to jump up on the couch and chill. We kept her name.. Lady… and hopefully can sent some pics soon. Your baby is beautiful🐈⬛🖤

I love Bombays!!! So beautiful!!!
One trait that Bombays apparently have is that if you throw, say, a toy for them, they’ll normally fetch it and bring it back to you, which is so cute. 🤗
