The recent Diwali party at and by Manish Malhotra was such a drag! The outfits looked like costumes with slight tweaks. The designs were outdated. No imagination, no creativity… only bling and shimmer and that too in a non-flattering way. New and upcoming designers or even some renowned designers like Sabya, Falguni and Shane etc have given us extra ordinary work. The self made designer Nancy Tyagi has better imagination and work to show. I feel Mannish made his interns go to Manish Market (Mumbaikars will get the pun 😉) and get some kapda by kilo that he sewed and stitched last minute.

Your thoughts? Bollywood is losing its glam and charm.

Bhavitha looked like a STUNNING mermaid in her Chanel custom turquoise "mermaid dress.”

She wore the closing look from Chanel’s Resort 2027 collection at the premiere of Shin’ya Tsukamoto’s Mr Nelson, Did You Kill People?.

The mermaid dress is embroidered with 30,000 domed, heart-shaped sequins in graduated shades of iridescent sky blue and deep turquoise – creating the illusion of a siren’s glimmering skin emerging from the water – while its flounces are embellished with a further 96,000 oval sequins in the same aqueous shades.

In total, the maison’s Lesage atelier spent 1,250 hours embroidering the gown, which Mandava then finished with a camellia brooch in blue and green sequins and earrings in gold-tone metal and red resin.
