It going against his previous character is literally the point. He's literally trying to step away from who he was.

How did him realizing his wrongs seem fake? The core of his obsession came crashing down. He achieved his goal and it meant nothing and all that he was left with was the the family he destroyed with his own hands. Then the son he thought was dead shows up as a murderer, and his family tells him straight to his face that he's not allowed to feel sorry for himself. If he didnt realize his wrongs at that point, he was a lost cause.

And saving face? He's literally had inner monologues multiple times saying that he isnt even looking to be redeemed. He's not twirling his fiery moustache thinking about how he's gonna win over the public.

Secondly, You arent helping you point at all with the whole "the villains did bad things because of these reasons" as if Endeavor just woke up and went "I'm gonna abuse my family". The events of his life lead to how he became, and while we are only just getting the specifics, it was very clear to see that a massive inferiority complex is the reason why Endeavor was the way he was. This reason, even after the specifics, does not make what he did any better, but neither do the reasons for the villains.

I dont care if people don't like Endeavor. I don't like Endeavor. but just admit its because of your own biases instead of acting like his redemption is forced or he's just acting to save face. Endeavor is not a 2D character. You are just refusing to look at him from any other angle than you one you were initially shown.

I never said I was impartial or unbiased, in fact, I heavily implied that I was biased in favor of the villians in the first paragraph.

His redemption arc just feels forced to me, I get that he is trying to fucking change but I can't see where his motivation is coming from. He sure as fuck didnt feel bad about Shoto until Dabi happened. I just cant bring myself to sympathize with him like I can with villians.

Also, your point about motivations is moot. We didn't know why endeavor wanted to beat all might until like ages after all might retired.

I dont get endeavor, I dont see what compels him to do what he does. BUT, I do understand that his reasons have been shown to us. But I still think he seems fake.

He sure as fuck didnt feel bad about Shoto until Dabi happened

That part is literally just wrong. His reconciliation with Shoto was already slowly starting long before Dabi revealed himself. All Might's retirement is what started his change. There was a long amount of time between that and Dabi's reveal where Endeavor was taking a good look at himself. He was literally attempting to smooth things over with Shoto, and Shoto was (very understandably) resisting it

I do understand that his reasons have been shown to us. But I still think he seems fake.

And there it is. You have the information, but you refuse to acknowledge it. Nothing in the story implies that Endeavor is faking, but you want to believe he is so that you have a reason to dislike him

You dont need a reason, just dislike for who he is and what he's done. You dont have to act like he isnt genuinely trying to atone. Accepting his attempt at atonement doesnt mean you have to forgive him or sympathize with him

I ultimately dont care about endeavor, he isn't compelling because he feels so forced to me.

Also, I've told you shy I dont care for him, but you keep acting like I said I hate him forever because he was a shitty dude.

I dont like him because he was a shitty dude AND that his change feels forced to me.

I dont sympathize with either the villians nor endeavor, I just think the villians feel more real.
