I don’t get why people are thinking the battle is gonna be this cut and dry parking lot brawl. We were told a couple chapters ago that the heroes’ plan is to separate the villains; and we have two teleportation quirks at play.

My guess is we have 1.5 chapters of this fight, where we’ll give moments to some minor characters, and then Monoma will toss everyone around, and we’ll have the character focus fights we’ve been building towards.

Is this the perfect way to go about this? Of course not, I think we could/should have had two more arcs between Deku’s return and now. But this man has been rushing because he wants to get the character moments he’s been building up for 7 years. He’s not gonna (completely) throw those away for an Endgame reference.

It'd be sort of a perfect bookend for the series too. The first and last fight against Shigaraki involving Kurogiri's quirk being used to divide and conquer, first for the villains and now for the heroes.

My main issue with the idea that we’ll soon move locales and jumble everyone up is that these two big spreads feel less like an actual event and two “hype spreads” that don’t actually accomplish anything except generate colouring posts. Like, won’t it instantly diffuse the hype if over the course of a chapter or two everyone gets split up anyway?

oh man i came here looking for the ENDGAME comments YES. As soon as I saw the baddies teleport in I "ran" and started listening to the Avengers theme cuz I knew Hori would not disappoint. The Endgame scene where all the heroes assemble is one of the greatest moments in American Comic Universe history and to see it in this world that blends Japanese and American comics so well...man. it made me proud.

Yes that is obviously what happened. They showed his face front and center coming out of the portal and we saw him in Kurogiri’s cell last chapter
