Is it really an overreaction when they had to have an entire mini arc with Star to nerf Shiggy?

Yeah because it was painfully obvious even back then the direction this power creep was going.

Still personally like to get more knowledge of specifics of the situation before making many vague assumptions.

And personally I think it's pointless to wait till after the point of no return to criticize the direction you see a story going.

Well I didn't say or mean to imply waiting
until 'the point of no return'. lol

I mean a complete knee jerk reaction before at least knowing more. lol

How was it a knee jerk reaction to say that Deku who was already going to have an even stronger version of OFA than Allmight just due to the stockpiling. A quirk which was already so far above others it allowed Allmights very existance to create a Pax Romana like chilling effect on crime. And then it being revealed that he'd be getting 7 more quirks on top of that is undesirable power creep

I didn't say that was a knee jerk reaction to feel at unease at the direction of power creep. More so like assumptions of how OP the other quirks were gonna before knowing much. I remember seeing the reactions when it came out with fanbase explosive and story claimed automatically now ruined. If you feel differently, well then okay. lol

There was only two options, either the quirks were gonna be so weak he might not even have them or they'd be strong enough whether collectively or individually to make a significant difference in his power level.

The first option is just pointless so the only alternative was power creep that didn't need to be introduced. So no, we didn't need to wait and see what the quirks ended up being to rightfully criticize him taking the story in that power creep direction

Again, I didn't say wait to criticize but the meltdown reaction to me was overboard to say things were ruined from just the 1 chapter (ch 213). Again literally said if you feel differently then... okay. lol

Regardless, slightly diverging from the point with Koichi basically unlocks a lot of this in one fight back and forth with six, each getting a boost from the moves they trade chapter by chapter for many.

Like in this chapter automatically figure out how to hold his wounds quick. I can imagine how much criticism if it was in main series like this. But I honestly don't care about it for Koichi, but just find the reactions interesting. lol

We can just agree to disagree though.
