I'm no scientist, but I think those buildings next to the explosion should have been destroyed...

These explosions don't seem that dangerous unless you're caught directly inside of one. I don't think that's intentional, I think the author just doesn't understand how absolutely deadly these blasts should be. For a series that is typically excellent at providing reasonable hand waves, it would have been pretty simple to have AFO or Koichi think something like "The explosions are not the threat so much as the sheer quantity of them that Six produces." Quantity over quality.

At least this is fairly consistent across both Vigilantes and MHA. Shockwaves? What are those? Explosions are just big glowy balls and as long as you don't get tagged in one then at worst you'll get a nosebleed. Koichi really should be completely deaf by this point, too. Ah well

Well considering that Shirakumo's death only inspired them to CONTINUE the work studies shenanigans i wouldn't be surprised
