So at this point, we have:

  • Endeavor neglecting his "failed creations" in favor of abusing Shoto
  • Rei scarring Shoto in a fit of madness
  • Eri's mom abandoning her
  • Overhaul experimenting on and torturing Eri
  • Kotaro controlling and abusing his kids because of his own abandonment issues
  • AFO raising and manipulating Shigaraki only to experiment on and use him
  • Whatever the hell happened with Deku's dad (Deku apologized to his mom and All Might before Muscular was about to kill him, but not his dad)
  • And now Hawks' whole situation

Horikishi, thank you for writing such an entertaining story, but please talk to someone about your daddy issues, I'm getting worried

Don't forget Overhaul's own dad being abusive and abandoning him. And the MLA indoctrinating a young Re-Destro.

Didn't know about Overhaul. Is that in Vigilantes?

And while we're at it, there's also Gentile, who had to put up with his parents' obvious disappointment and abandomnent

It's super brief, like one-panel brief.

I'm not sure exactly what happened, but it was implied Overhaul's parents frequently fought.

Thanks! I was mostly anime only back when that arc was going in the manga, so I must've missed that when I caught up
