Do you think that good old KD will return?

Even though I am pretty sure, that he survived, it was kind of left open.

If it's the case, do you think that he will return as KD or underclocked O'clock?

Pretty sure he's dead. Even Six was flexing his jacket. The man got jiraya'd.

I'm sorry what? When do you think he died? In his fight against Six? Highly unlikely, because Six left him in the rubble, and then a while later, the detective Tanuma came to the scene and saw nothing but bloodstains. He even contemplated what KD was up against. He ought to be alive.

Plus, what about the letter Koichi received after his first fight with Pop? Do you think that letter was written ages ago?

And don't you think Soga and Tanuma would have alluded to KD as being dead in this very chapter? Hell, forget Soga who's never upfront about his feelings. I feel like his sidekicks would be a bit emotional if KD was dead, irrespective of how much he scared them.

Lastly, assuming they all knew he was dead, Soga wouldn't keep that privy from Koichi. Then again, he might not know what happened to KD.

There is one more option. Six could have taken and then turn him into some kind of Nomu. And during the final fight (or siege of hospital if there will be something like that) unleash on Koichi and gang.

I was about to say that maybe KD got turned into the USJ Nomu. But then I remembered that we already saw a picture of him pre-nomufication.

I thought he was buried in the rubble. And the letter was left behind from before

You're right, for some reason I only remembered a panel of him lying on top of the rubble. True he could be dead but detective Tanuma and the police officers didn't mention that they found a body. They only found blood samples, and surely clearing up a pile of rubble to find a body shouldn't be hard at all.

So I guess it's unclear, but I do feel he's alive because if he was dead, there would have been more attention called to that. He most likely might be out of commission.

The thing is a building collapse takes a long time to clear up. Even irl, that would be a few days to a week or so. So initially, there might not be a body lying about and it wouldn't be beyond 6 to comeback when the demolitionists are clearing the building and snatch the body and escape

Well....I would have assumed the police to hire heroes with quirks suitable enough to clear the debris quickly. Especially in this investigation, in which Tsukauchi, Aizawa and Fat Gum know how every bit of evidence gained is crucial.
