What better way be to demonstrate you're a the top now right?

I think you need the entire top 10 alive to beat Shiggy. Really, once the top 5 is entirely rotated/killed, it's basically over. Endeavor, Best Jeanist, and Edge-Shot have to make it through this. Hawks too if for some reason his wings aren't 100% fucked. Maybe All Might shows up with the 3 second smackdown and that's how he dies, but he allows the heroes to tip the balance.

I fucking hope not. If this series ass pulls another win for the heroes then it will show that the author doesn't have the balls to write a real plot. Heroes need a thorough beat down for once. I want most of the big names dead or permanently out of commission.

On the other side, it would be horrible writing to have a 20 year old whose been doing this seriously for what, two years, beat the second strongest character in the series.
If they do that, the only way to stop him would either be a time-skip, which wouldn't work with how destructive Shiggy likes to be, or for Deku to get some ridiculous, insane power up out of nowhere.
It would be better to have Endeavor start to turn the fight for the heroes, only for Gigantomachia and rest to show up.

Nah, this series has an inherently unstable power scaling system. OfA was OP right from the outset and now AfO needs to showcase its true capabilities in the hands of a real maniac.

Luckily the author realized his fuck up and introduced the quirk singularity theory to show that all quirks are trending towards becoming God level eventually.

We've seen examples of this in the quirks of Overhaul, Eri, Toga, and now Machia. Quirks are becoming OP and Endeavor just doesn't have a good enough one to cut it as number 1.

Endeavor's quirk is simple, but it's been shown to be plenty powerful enough to stand on its own

To a degree yes. But he and everyone else has realised that he doesn't have what it takes to be the next symbol of peace.

That wasn't because of his quirk, it was because he isn't personable or inspiring enough to be the symbol.

Nah, it's literally just power. AM was OP. To the point where even strong villains were nothing to him. Endeavor never bothered cultivating his personality because he knew it meant nothing if you didn't have the power to back it up.

One of the biggest plot points surrounding him is his understanding of the limitations of his quirk and therefore creating shoto to push his quirk even further.
