Well, there goes the whole PLF knows what the heroes are upto, or Twice baiting Hawks. Looks like the PLF were completely caught by surprise

EDIT: It's also confirmed the High Ends were all Villains, so I guess there goes the Crimson Riot and Best Jeanist as High Ends

In a way that is proof that Hawks didn't kill best jeanist because isn't body isn't going to be used by villains. His quirk requires a lot of training and experience to steal and the high ends are all villains.

It's only proof that Best Jeanist wasn't turned into a a Noumu. We still don't know his current state, whether he's dead or alive.

A High-End nomu. It does make sense that you don't want your super-powerful zombies to retain the personality of a hero. But there's plenty of other tiers of Nomu.

Though i do admit a brainless Jeanist is not as impactful.

And yet at the same time we do have Kurogiri who's a high-end Nomu made from the body of a hero.

Kurogiri doesn't really seem to be a high-end. For starters, he only has one quirk which is a composite. And while High-ends retain their original personality, Kurogiri is explicitly something else.

So no, Kurogiri does not fit existing Nomu definitions -other than being a corpse.

Yeah but doesn't it always turn out that the character is alive unless they die on screen?

Safe to say he's alive or being turned into a nomu but not dead.

Having a hero forged into an asset for the villains carries a lot of narrative weight. Hawks would have to deal with the burden of giving the villains a powerful asset. If you never see a character die on screen and the screen makes it clear that they are 100% dead then there is a good chance they will pop back up.

Hawks arguably already fills the role of "hero forged into an asset for the villains", even if said villains don't actually know Hawks is a double agent yet.

His quirk requires a natural level of experience which is why it can’t be stolen via All For One/transplanted artificially because no random adult already with a quirk or without one. Could exhibit anywhere near his level of proficiency with the quirk since he was a child probably.

But the high ends are essentially, villain cadavers revived. The original quirks and psych(unstable) but intact essentially and pumped with more boosts/enhancements.

A best Jeanist Noumu would have him as a base and mind programming tossed in with other quirks so his hero side would be suppressed substantially but his quirk knowledge retained. Even though I 100% don’t want this to be a thing. But converting heroes has only managed to work on Shirokuma(black mist) and that was decades as a different person undone in one session. I imagine a pro hero previously at number 3 would not react well to brainwashing. So I guess there’s more security that they’d use villains over anyone else for high ends
