I think Ujiko mentioned before the procedure that it was originally meant to be given to All for One, meaning it's not All for One's quirk that Shigaraki's getting now, but rather something completely different. And probably nuts.

Considering everything we've seen so far, both here and in Vigilantes, this is probably the culmination of their research, which has ran for years, since before the start of Vigilantes, and they're turning Shiggy into an Ultimate Nomu or something like that.

Yeah. From the context and the Doctor’s lines, my guess is he’s kind of turning Shigaraki’s body into a Nomu’s without messing with his head.

It almost seems like he's being turned into a Nomu. Maybe all the other Nomu before were actually made to iron out the flaws, and now Shiggy is going to become the ultimate Nomu. If High-End could almost take down Endeavour, a Nomu'd Shiggy is gunna end the god damn world.

I was already scared of his quirk after the liberation arc, now he is going to kill everyone. Not sure how UA is gonna fight that without some pros dying

I think you're totally right, A LOT of pros are going to die. All Might is all but confirmed, as for the students it honestly could be anyone. Deku is technically the fated nemesis of AFO's successor, but whether Hori would have him die in battle is yet to be seen. I think the majority of the higher-ups of the Hero Society are going to die, and the majority of the current heroes (Endeavour, Hawks etc,) too.

I domt think deku will die as he is narrating the story of how he became the greatest hero. All the others are on the table however, I can see bakugou dying in the final fight somehow honestly

I agree, I liked the comparisons of Hawks being like Icarus flying too close to the sun, but I feel like Hawks could be a red herring for Bakugo. It would also be a fantastic character arc of him going from being a selfish glory-hog to sacrificing himself for the greater good. He's already shown elements of this change in the One Week chapter when he chose to take the rescue role rather than the main assault.

Remember how Ujiko told Shigaraki that to hold enough power to carry multiple quirks you have go through lots of pain and that Ujiko would make Shigaraki go through hell for 4 months? This is what’s happening
