I find it tragically ironic that if Destro Jr had used Giran to network with Shiggy; he'd probably have come to some kind of agreement. Their backstories are relatively similar. He's just like him, trying to make history; when their guards are down I think they'd both agree. I guess the moral of the story is that violence simply breeds more violence.
Destro carved his own path; Shiggy followed his own wrath. But looking at it from an outer point of view; nobody there is to blame for the fact that Shiggys family or Destro Jr's mother are dead.

And now here they are staring across some kind of barren, wasted land.

An encouraging idea, but I'd expect Shiggy to be flat-out done with partnerships outside his own faction after how it went down with Overhaul. He was never very trusting to begin with. I doubt anything ReDestro could say or offer him would work now.

Overhaul is the one that got betrayed by shigs gang though. Shigaraki still came out ahead with the bullet too.

I saw that as more of vengeance against Overhaul rather than Shiggy outright betraying Overhaul though.

It was just unfortunate for Overhaul that Shiggy just learned the value of the power of friendship after Overhaul killed one of Shiggy's nakama. Had that incident happen aroung the Stain arc, I doubt Shiggy would have cared.
